PLANEXT® SN4600

PLANEXT® is an eco-friendly amorphous bio-plastic made with bio-content based on plants. In addition to smaller load on the environment in terms of carbon cycle, it has more special features compared to general polycarbonate (PC). Teijin is developing new applications for PLANEXT® applying its functionalities.

This new film is made with PLANEXT® SN4600, an improved grade of Teijin’s PLA NEXT® bioplastic, w hich is made from a bio-origin chemical compound called isosorbide. In addition to original PLANEXT® properties such as chemical resistance, transparency and surface hardness, polymer reforming is used to give PLANEXT® SN4600 important new properties including gasoline resistance, formability, UV resistance.
